Dennis offers quality guitar instruction to those interested in jazz and Brazilian styles. Dennis has been teaching privately for many years and has also taught at Plateau Music (Issaquah, WA). In addition, Dennis has presented jazz guitar clinics. Private lessons can be at Dennis' guitar studio in Tigard or at the student's home in the Portland area.  
   Possible areas of instruction include: tone, technique, improvisation, ear training, repertoire, sight-reading, theory, fingerstyle, solo guitar, basslines for guitar, accompanying, composition and arranging.
   Dennis has studied with guitarists John Stowell, Dave Peterson, Doug Zangar and Mark Oi. He has also taken private lessons from pianist Dawn Clement and bassist Chuck Deardorf. This private instruction, along with the music education he received at Cornish College of the Arts, has given Dennis a broad base of knowledge to draw from. Dennis incorporates the best elements of each teaching style into his own style.
